Rens Planckaert
A Belgian circus performer graduated from the Academy for Circus and Performance Art in Tilburg, specializing in Chinese pole. Prior to ACAPA, he completed his Bachelor's in Stage Management at the Royal Institute for Theater, Cinema, and Sound. Over the years, he honed his unique physical expression on the Chinese pole and ground.
Dedicated to his craft, he continues to evolve, currently expanding his skills to include training in aerial straps and aerial pole techniques. His passion for pushing boundaries and exploring new forms of artistic expression propels his artistic journey forward.
Through his dedication and commitment to growth, he aims to further diversify his repertoire and captivate audiences with his innovative performances that blend physical prowess with creative storytelling.
Chinese pole is an art that involves a beautiful collaboration between static poses and dynamic movements. It inspires me while also presenting challenges that push me to grow and evolve.
Through attending numerous workshops and classes focused on Chinese pole, aerial straps, and acrobatics, I continuously strive to learn and master new tricks.
In the world of Chinese pole performance, the performer's ability to infuse the trick with emotion and storytelling is just as crucial as executing the trick itself.
By honing and refining my skills, I aim to captivate and amaze audiences with my performances, weaving a narrative with each movement.
My exploration in Chinese pole revolves around the concept of spirals and how to creatively break free from them, exploring various ways to transition in and out of movements.
Delving deeper into the realm of Chinese pole, I am fascinated by the artistry of balance and strength required to create seamless and breathtaking routines.
Each twist and turn on the pole symbolizes a journey, a story waiting to be told through the language of movement and grace.
Through dedication and passion, I aim to elevate my craft, pushing boundaries and exploring the boundless possibilities that the Chinese pole offers.
